In my opinion, the city got off lucky. I think it could have been a lot worse.
What is up with the City crying that they are needing to cut back 10% of the whole city budget but then pay $20,000 dollars for the symphany barge to come and play for 1 1/2 hours? Can anyone think of anything else the city could have spent that amount of money on??? C-mon that was a WASTE of MY tax money. As is the new city hall, especially in these economically challanged times.
What started as a good idea for the "summer concert series", turned into a fiasco. First it was scheduled on Sunday, then Saturday, then Sunday and then finally on Monday. Looks like expensive private lessons for Julie Buck's kids.
